5.4 -Can we have a rubik's cube party? >.<
-used my spanish yesterday when a woman in a KFC toilet was saying something about
my hair to her friend i caught niña and hermosa and knew the subject was my hair
i said gracias and we stumbled a minute before i caught tocar and said si,
meaning
she could touch my pigtail ^.^
I survived the Great Earthquake of 08! Check it out here...I added my report, as an intensity IV.
Scared the heck out of me since I was trying to fall asleep, it felt like someone was shaking my bed!

-still sick
-had a major sewing withdrawal
-bought needles and cool foldable scissors
-went fabric shopping
-was innocently fabric shopping when I came upon "porno alley"
-bought some nice expensive fabrics as cheap remnants or on sale
-completely forgot thread >.<
-got an adorable canvas tote with a unicorn on it
-bought a much needed wallet
-helped ian book his Spring Break flights (now we just have to tackle hotel)
8.2.08 -woke up sick
-went for a walk on the south bank of the Thames
-saw all kinds of fun street performers
-was very jealous of the street performers (it's always been an odd dream of mine)
-lots of living statues
-took hundreds of photos, beautiful clear blue sky
-used almost all my change ^.^
-interacted with the one statue, when you put money in his bucket he would
shake hands with you and then pull your sweater sleeve up and tie a knot in it
then pull out a feather duster and dust your hair (Ian said "mmm...lice") xD
-meandered over to parliament, Big Ben, and Westminster Abbey
-saw war protestors camped outside of parliament
-found Queen Mary's steps and terrace (probably not a big tourist attraction)
7.2.08 -took a field trip to the British Museum
-saw amazing artifacts
-have a laundry list of things to commission Zack for now
-took lots of photos
6.2.08 -Saw another play
-saw The Hour We Knew Nothing of Each Other
-it was absolutely amazing! no speaking, very experimental but awesome!
-bought a copy of Peter Pan and Other Plays by James Matthew Barrie
5.2.08 -Saw a billboard on the Tube that mentioned "Upperclass"
-first time waiting for the Tube to show up
-getting on the Tube around 10am on a weekday is a bad idea
-went to the Museum of London
-very fun clothes and old weapons and armour
-bought a fun purple quill, and a change tin
-heard a very loud helicopter overhead and thought of
how it would have been during WWII with the bombs
2.2.08 -Went to a club last night. My first night out aside from the Opera
-Slept in till noon since I'd gotten to bed at 2.30
-showered and went to fully explore the depths of Camden
-I have decided that I am in love with Camden xD (Don't worry Ian I love you more)
-Successfully tackled the bus system last night on the way home
-saw my first gas station >.<
-completely lost track of time while in the labyrinth
-got a much needed nice black coat for theatre nights
-saw some of the most beautiful wooden furniture
1.2.08 -Been a while huh? Don't expect every day once things get going :)
-So I thought I'd found Camden (in all it's gothic/alternative glory)
but I was hardly even scratching the surface. I went back today
and found the real Camden and still hardly saw half of its labyrinthine alleys
-found the marlet where I would absolutely love having a stall
Ian: want to move to (or live in) London? ;)
-Trafalgar Square: is it ever not crowded? Pics going up after dinner.
-Missed my Tube station and wound up walking to Leicester Square but
I found
Soho and Chinatown on the way there. Chinatown has cute bobblie heads!
-Found and bought the most awesome hand warmer ever!
-Got gifts for all you ladies, have to go back for more (you all get the same thing so far)
-Made my first woopsie on the Tube >.< worked it out just fine
-need to tackle the bus system next
30.1.08 -only got out today to get lunch at the grocery store
-might go out after dinner
-started classes, had Urban Ecology and Theatre
-going to see (10 total) some awesome shows
-going to see Kevin Spacey in a show
-going to see my fave Will show: A Midsummer Night's Dream
-seeing out first show tomorrow
-dinner will be mainly mac and cheese and "vegie" burgers
29.1.08 -first day on the tube (Underground)
-bought horribly touristy things (Tube boxers,
"Mind the Gap" undies, and GB sticker for suitcase)
-got an alarm clock just in time for tomorrow
-saw Peter Pan's statue and where he grew up (just atad bit obsessed)
-took lots of photos
-Adam, saw lots of birds, what kind is black
with white sides and white on its wings?
-lunch was a croissant (delicious and soft) and leftover corn
28.1.08 -want to find people like Havok in London? Just go to Camden.
-walked about 6 miles or so, my feet are tired
-I'm starting to think and talk to myself in a british accent o.O
(I think even my writing's being influenced)
-Adam would love the shoes.
-got lost trying to find Camden (really I just took the wrong streets)
-If you were a hopsital would you allow a patient on oxygen
to go outside in their wheelchair and smoke?
-I'll have my class schedule up soon
-On a more devious note I've already learned the proper rebellious attitude
towards the Underground "Mind the Gap" signs: "F*@k the Gap"
-bought tea tree shampoo and conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste,
and one nasty (unflavored) probiotic organic yogurt (next time I try a vanilla one)
-dinner: flan, brocolli in cheese, sweet corn
27.1.08 -The taxis are a lot of fun, though crazy drivers
They come very close to running people over >.<
-my walking sneakers are comfy
(I used them to explore a few blocks)
-not as cold as I thought it would be
-It's not fish and chips you have to
get used to eating, it's Indian food
-Is "Indic" a word?
-saw a giant pink limousine
-pedestrians really have to look both
ways, cars drive inches away from you
-Professor's wife was kind enough to make food for us
ziti, even though it's a Sunday so we were to fend alone
